    • Skip and a chipmunk are fighting over an acorn. Skip: "It's mine!" Chipmunk: "But I need it _more_!"
    • Skip: "What? Why?" Chipmunk, looking distraught: "My poor family...they eat so much..."
    • Skip: "Oh. Well, okay." He lets go of the acorn and the chipmunk speeds away with it. "Thaanks!"
    • Skip is left standing. Suddenly, his stomach lets a loud GRRUMBLE.

This isn't a pro- or anti-welfare comic. Rather, it's one of my "choose your own interpretation"s.

This work originally appeared in the Cardinal Courier, the award-winning student-run newspaper at St. John Fisher College, between 2007 and 2011.
