    • Skip is reading a newspaper. Cal perches nearby. Skip says, "So, Cal. Some people have been saying our last comic strip wasn't very good." Cal replies, "Huh? What comic strip?"
    • Skip looks up: "You know, 'Skip and Cal'. The one about our lives."
    • Skip just stares at Cal as the cardinal's jaw drops and his eyes go out of focus.
    • Cal appears frozen in his shocked state. Skip says to us, "I guess he didn't know."

    This work originally appeared in the Cardinal Courier, the award-winning student-run newspaper at St. John Fisher College, between 2007 and 2011.
