    • Two trees. From one tree comes "AAAAGH!!"
    • Cal rushes to the door of Skip's vault. Cal: "What is it?!" Skip, with tears in his eyes: "My acorns! They're all gone!"
    • Skip: "How could they?" Cal: "You'd think they would ask first." (The view is blocked by Cal's head.)
    • Skip is looking at various plates of food, and some signs: "Your acorns have been replaced by BETTER FOOD (according to us). Enjoy!" "Sincerely, The Administration" "Sushi!" "Fresh and organic foods!" Skip: "But I liked my acorns..."

    You'd Think They Would Ask
    April 23, 2008 (published) / May 15, 2012 (posted here)

This appeared shortly after Fisher's administration announced that the company handling the school's dining services would be changing the next semester... after little-to-no input about the decision from the students who actually have to pay for and eat the food.

This work originally appeared in the Cardinal Courier, the award-winning student-run newspaper at St. John Fisher College, between 2007 and 2011.
