    • Skip lounges on a branch, wearing sunglasses and sipping lemonade.
    • Inside, Cal writes furiously, surrounded by stacks of paper. A whiteboard nearby reads, "To Do: Taxes, Essay, Project, Study". Only "Taxes" is checked off. Skip calls, "Cal! Come out and enjoy the weather!" Not looking up from his work, Cal replies, "Can't!"
    • Skip continues, "Oh... Well, then can you at least bring out the lemonade?" Cal looks pretty peeved at this. "... Yeah. I sure can."
    • Cal calls, "Here you go!" Skip replies, "Thanks, bud!", too busy lounging to notice the pitcher of lemonade flying through the air towards his prone body.

Not my most artistic moment. My situation being similar to Cal's in this comic may have had something to do with it.

This work originally appeared in the Cardinal Courier, the award-winning student-run newspaper at St. John Fisher College, between 2007 and 2011.
